Job Description

The qualified Industrial Hygienist will demonstrate experience interpreting and applying occupational health standards and codes (OSHA, ANSI, and ACGIH), performance of risk and exposure assessments, generation of job site health evaluations, evaluation of control sets, sampling and monitoring of physical, biological and chemical stressors; execution of job site evaluations, experience delivering training, and evaluating regulatory compliance for construction, maintenance, and related operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and application of job-related policies, operating procedures, work instructions, and associated software platforms.

• Attendance and participation in project and team meetings.

• Conformance reviews of draft safety plans and activity hazard analysis to construction safety specifications, with constructive feedback.

• Consultation with line organizations, construction managers, safety engineers, Industrial Hygiene Subject Matter Experts (SME) and environmental SMEs regarding recognition, identification, evaluation, and control occupational health risks.

• Assistance to facilities and line organizations in implementing occupation health requirements including processing of job site health evaluation requests, welding, cutting, and brazing requests, and exposure assessments.

• Support industrial hygiene team members to develop, implement, maintain, and manage industrial hygiene procedures.

• Perform performance and trend analysis, support root cause investigations, and issue resolution.

• Developing and presenting short training presentations, participation on improvement committees, and related consultations.

• Provide mission essential facilities and line organizations with responsive ES&H customer support as needed.

Basic Job Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge in ES&H area and contribute to advancing knowledge in field of expertise through various avenues such as internal and external publications and professional society presentations.

• Shall have the ability to solve complex problems in the field.

• Provide mission essential facilities and line organizations with responsive ES&H customer support as needed.

• U.S. Citizen with valid driver’s license.

• Offer contingent upon results of background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Government security clearance, “L” preferred.

• Master of Science preferred

Salary Range:
