Electrical Engineer Founded in 1976, Los Alamos Technical Associates (LATA) provides technical and project management services to a varied clientele including federal agencies, state governments, municipalities, and a broad range of private sector industrial clients. LATA is currently looking for an experienced, accomplished, self-motivated Electrical Engineer to provide SME support for the development of electrical test equipment. The Electrical Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in engineering, product development, implementation, and manufacturing partners. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions. Electrical Engineer requirements • Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications • Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards • Modify or creating equipment documentation • Modifying or creating equipment hardware • Modifying or creating schematics for printed circuit board (Mentor Graphics), • Use computer-assisted engineering software to perform engineering tasks • Support manufacturing with product development and testing • Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects • Modifying or creating product holding fixtures, • Modifying or creating operating and calibration procedures, • Conducting repeatability testing (calibration and UUT)

Electrical Engineer skills required • 10+ years’ electrical engineering experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or relevant Experience in Lieu of a Degree • Competent in the use of electrical engineering software • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • The position requires an Active DOE Q Clearance New employees are required to submit to a background check and Employment is contingent upon passing LATA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to diversity in its workforce.
